The short version
This privacy policy explains how Jackpot – the independent review portal at jackpotcasino.jetzt – collects, uses and protects your personal information. We are not the operator; we run an information site about the brand. The operator handles its own player data through its platform, governed by its own privacy terms. This notice covers only what reaches us through your use of this portal.
We collect limited technical data when you browse our pages (device type, browser, IP address) and any details you choose to send via our contact form. We do not require registration to read our content, and we process no payment or account information – those interactions happen on the operator's own domain, not here.
Your data is processed in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. You have the right to access, correct, erase or restrict what we hold, and to withdraw consent at any time. Read on for the full picture.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller for this portal is the editorial team operating jackpotcasino.jetzt. You can reach us at [email protected]. Any question about how we handle information on this site comes to that inbox. Questions about your account, deposits, withdrawals or bonuses with the operator go to the operator's own support channels – we have no access to that data and cannot process requests about it.
What information we collect
Technical data is gathered automatically when you visit: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, pages viewed, time spent, referring URL and geographic region (country-level, derived from IP). This helps us understand how the portal is used and where our visitors come from.
Cookies and similar technologies – small text files stored by your browser – allow us to recognise returning visitors and measure traffic patterns. Our cookie policy (linked in the footer) explains which cookies we set, which third parties operate on our pages, and how to manage them through your browser settings.
Contact-form submissions collect whatever you choose to provide: typically a name (or alias), an email address and the message content. We ask for only what is needed to respond. Sending a message is voluntary; browsing our content requires no contact details.
We do not collect payment card details, bank account information, identity documents or proof-of-address files. Those are submitted to the operator if you register on its platform, never to this portal.
Why we process your data
The purposes are narrow and stated upfront:
- To operate the portal – serving pages, managing infrastructure, fixing technical issues.
- To respond to enquiries – answering questions sent via the contact form, usually within 48 hours.
- To analyse site performance – understanding which content is read, how long visitors stay, which device types are most common. This informs editorial decisions and helps us prioritise updates.
- To comply with legal obligations – retaining records where required by law, cooperating with lawful requests from authorities.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. No algorithm scores you, no system denies access based on data points.
Lawful basis for processing
UK GDPR requires every data use to rest on one of six lawful bases. Ours are:
| Data type | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Technical logs, IP addresses | Legitimate interests – operating a secure, functional website |
| Contact-form submissions | Consent – you provide details voluntarily to receive a response |
| Cookie data (analytics, advertising) | Consent – obtained via the cookie banner on first visit |
| Records retained for compliance | Legal obligation – where statute or regulation requires it |
Where consent is the basis, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal, but it does mean we stop that particular use going forward.
Who else sees your information
We share data with a small set of third parties, each for a defined reason. Your information is never sold, rented or traded.
Hosting and infrastructure providers store our pages and serve them to your browser. They process IP addresses and request logs as part of delivering the site, under contract with security and confidentiality obligations in place.
Analytics services (Google Analytics or similar) receive anonymised usage data – pages viewed, session duration, device category – to generate aggregate reports. These platforms operate under their own privacy policies; check their documentation for detail on data retention and your opt-out rights.
Advertising and affiliate networks may set cookies to track referrals and conversions when you follow a link from this portal to the operator's site. Those cookies are governed by the network's own terms, disclosed in our cookie policy. You can decline marketing cookies through the banner or your browser settings.
Legal and regulatory authorities may receive data if we are required to disclose it by court order, statutory obligation or lawful request. We assess each demand for legitimacy before releasing anything.
All processors are selected for their security standards and GDPR compliance. We enter written agreements that limit their use of data to the services they provide, prohibit onward sharing without authorisation, and require them to delete information once the contract ends.
International transfers
Some of the third parties above operate servers outside the United Kingdom. Where data leaves the UK, we ensure one of the following safeguards is in place: an adequacy decision from the UK government (confirming the destination country's data-protection laws are equivalent), Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the ICO, or the recipient's certification under a recognised framework. You can request details of the specific transfer mechanism for any processor by contacting us.
How long we keep your data
Technical logs and analytics data are retained for 12 months, then automatically purged. This window lets us identify patterns and fix issues without holding information indefinitely.
Contact-form submissions are kept for 24 months from the date of your message, giving us a record of correspondence in case a question resurfaces. After that period, messages are deleted unless you have asked us to retain them longer (for example, as part of an ongoing enquiry).
Cookie lifespans vary by type – session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies last from a few days to two years, depending on their purpose. Our cookie policy lists the duration for each one we set.
Where a legal obligation requires longer retention – for instance, financial records tied to affiliate commissions – we keep data only as long as the statute specifies, then erase it.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You hold several rights over your personal data. Here's what each one means in practice and how to exercise it.
Right of access
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, free of charge. We will confirm whether we are processing your information, explain the purposes, identify the categories of data and the recipients, and state how long we intend to keep it. The response comes within one month of a valid request, extended to two months if the request is complex.
Right to rectification
If something we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you can ask us to correct it. We act within one month. Where we have shared the data with third parties, we notify them of the correction unless that proves impossible or requires disproportionate effort.
Right to erasure
Also called the "right to be forgotten". You can ask us to delete your data where one of these conditions applies: it is no longer necessary for the purpose we collected it; you withdraw consent and no other lawful basis exists; you object to processing and we have no overriding legitimate grounds; the data was unlawfully processed; or erasure is required to comply with a legal obligation. We cannot erase data we are legally required to retain, such as records demanded by tax or financial regulation.
Right to restriction
You can ask us to stop using your data (but not delete it) while we verify its accuracy, while we assess whether our legitimate interests override your objection, or if you need the data preserved for a legal claim even though we no longer require it. Restricted data is stored but not actively processed, except with your consent or for limited legal purposes.
Right to data portability
Where processing is based on consent or contract and is carried out by automated means, you can receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (usually CSV or JSON) and transmit it to another controller. This right does not apply to data we process in the public interest or under official authority.
Right to object
You can object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing. Once you object to marketing, we stop that use immediately. For other objections based on legitimate interests, we must demonstrate compelling grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or show the processing is necessary for a legal claim.
Right to withdraw consent
Where consent is the lawful basis, you can withdraw it whenever you like. Withdrawal does not affect past processing but stops future use from the moment you tell us.
How to exercise these rights
Send an email to [email protected] stating which right you wish to exercise and providing enough detail for us to locate your data (your email address is usually sufficient for contact-form records; for cookie data, your IP address or device identifier helps). We may ask for proof of identity if the request involves sensitive information or large data sets. There is no fee unless the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a reasonable administrative cost or refuse to act.
Complaints and the supervisory authority
If you believe we have mishandled your data or breached UK GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data-protection supervisory authority.
ICO contact details:
Information Commissioner's Office
Wycliffe House, Water Lane
Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF
Telephone: 0303 123 1113
Website: ico.org.uk
You can also raise a concern with us first – many issues are resolved faster through direct contact – but going straight to the ICO is always your right.
Protection of minors
This portal is intended for persons aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you are a parent or guardian and discover that a child has sent us personal information without consent, contact [email protected] and we will delete it promptly. Gambling content, including reviews and information about operators, is restricted to adults in line with UK law.
If a device is shared with minors, consider installing parental-control software – tools such as Net Nanny, Qustodio or your router's built-in filters – to prevent access to gambling-related sites.
Security measures
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect data from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Our measures include encrypted connections (TLS), secure hosting environments, access controls limiting who can view data internally, regular software updates, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No system is completely immune to attack, but we follow industry-standard practices to reduce risk.
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay and inform the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by UK GDPR.
Changes to this privacy policy
We review this notice periodically and update it when our practices change or when legislation requires. The "last updated" date at the bottom shows when the current version took effect. Significant changes – such as a new data use, a new third-party processor or a change in retention period – will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days. Continued use of the portal after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
You can always request a previous version of this policy by emailing us.
